Booking Process

Choosing the setting for your wedding day is an essential component that adds the perfect touch to your big day. TAFER Resorts has several locations that are quintessentially ideal. Five-star resorts encompass sublime natural beauty with wedding packages that include beach or garden ceremonies and receptions in grand ballrooms.

In order to confirm the availability, we require that you provide the desired date and the total of attendees expected. The most accurate is the number, the better.

Once the availability is confirmed, the proposal will be sent to you to review ceremony and reception packages, room’s categories and rates requested.

Save the date

Save the date

The room block, event packages and locations should be selected and a contract will be sent to you with the details of the accommodation and events, policies and payment instructions. A deposit of $4000 USD is required to hold the date and the rooms as well as the signed contract. As soon as rooms are individually booked and guaranteed with a credit card by the guests of the wedding, the deposit will go towards to the wedding expenses.

When the deposit has been confirmed or else the credit card has been charged, you will receive a confirmation email and the team will work on your personalized reservations link for you to share with your guests so they can start booking their rooms from your block.

Event Planner Process

The Wedding Coordinator will send an introduction email with a questionnaire, forms to fill in and options for the event. Calls will be scheduled with you to answer any questions you may have and to review details. We suggest you send an email with a list of all your questions to the coordinator before each scheduled call.

  • Introduction email will be sent from the wedding coordinator with a questionnaire, forms and options.
  • Share the reservations link of your wedding with your guest and family.
  • Indicate if you would like a Symbolic or Legal ceremony (note: selecting a legal ceremony date may take longer as the coordinator will need to work with the judge’s schedule).
  • Explore your wedding vision: ceremony/reception location, time of the day, estimated number of guests.
  • Coordinator will email forms, pictures and options for decoration.
  • Determine an estimated budget guideline.
  • Begin clarifying your wedding vision: theme, colors, little extras.
  • Your coordinator will contact you with the decoration preferred vendor to personalize your event.
  • The coordinator will be sure you know what the legal forms needed are.
  • Secure DJ, band, photographers and videographer (be sure to speak to your wedding coordinator when booking outside vendors).

  • 50% photography and video deposit
  • Define additional wedding events (Welcome Cocktail party, rehearsal dinner, etc.)
  • Coordinator will email updated rooming list reservation.
  • Coordinator will email updated wedding breakdown.
  • Second deposit programed.

  • Finalize guest list and room requirements.
  • Select flower (floral arrangements, center pieces, bouquet, Boutonniere, extra flowers, etc.)
  • Define ceremony music (live music or sound system).
  • In case of sound system, a playlist with the special songs will be required.
  • Define and confirm cake.
  • Define Menu options.
  • For legal ceremonies, send completed paperwork to coordinator.
  • Finalize reception chart, seat card (if applicable) and send to the wedding coordinator.
  • Book spa service Hair, makeup, massages (if applicable).
  • Coordinator will email rooming list reservations.
  • Coordinator will email updated wedding breakdown.
  • Second wedding deposit.
  • Send list of those not staying at the resort to the wedding coordinator.
  • Make sure to confirm any extra.
  • Confirm food and beverage (Cocktail hour, reception, rehearsal dinner, etc.)
  • Have programs, menus, places cards etc. printed.
  • Verify rooms booked.
  • Confirm wedding schedule.
  • Coordinator will email final wedding breakdown.
  • Final wedding Deposit.
  • Finalize reception chart, seat cards (if applicable) and send to Wedding Coordinator.
  • Confirm timeline of event (i.e.: seated for meal, first dance, father daughter dance, cake cutting, etc.)
  • Review number of reservations before your cut off date.
  • Review with your coordinator the final breakdown based in all services schedule before.
  • Program final Payment.

  • Make sure the wedding coordinator has your travel schedule and your final guest list, seating charts and events.
  • Let the coordinator know if there is something else you would like to add or any changes.

  • Arrive to the resort (based on type of events you will have).
  • On-site meeting with the wedding coordinator to go over all event details and make any last-minute changes or additions.
  • Have a trial hair and make-up through at the salon if desired.

  • The wedding coordinator will check in with you throughout the day as she organizes everything.
  • Wedding coordinator will deliver personal flowers to bride and groom and bridal party (if applicable) to their rooms.
